Building's collapse in Ginosa

Building's collapse in Ginosa

At 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, the detachment of a portion of calcarenite rock from the right side of the ravine di Ginosa caused the collapse of some civilian buildings and the collapse of the road surface of via Matrice, as well as the invasion of debris into the underlying via Burrone.

Archimeter technicians conducted laser scanner surveys for volumetric calculation of the rubble, for the design of the intervention to remove it, and for the safety of the entire area affected by the collapses.

The monitoring was carried out in several phases, not only of the prospective fronts but also including all the anthropic cavities present on the side of the Gravina.
